The “Peel & Stick” Difference

After years of gaining experience with all roof types used in Southern California, we at Gen819 have come together and defined our quality policies and best practices. One major component is the use of one layer of high temperature rated rubberized asphalt, also known as “Peel & Stick”. Under tile roofs, we then add two additional layers of 40# paper for extra protection. The self adhesive P&S layer has self sealing properties. That means that nails and similar penetrations will re-seal when seismic motions create small moving gaps to the membrane. It is our believe that this system has the best price performance ratio and allows us to give a home owner a “lifetime” warranty against leaks. It transfers as a 15 year warranty if the house is being sold.
